BA [Hons] Fine Art 2:1

Artists Biog :: I started working with sound on the second year of my degree in 2004, receiving training in sound production and design from the media department using Audition editing software. By third year I had centred my research on sound concept development, presenting a sound installation as part of my final year degree show. After graduating in 2006 I continued to produce sound work for exhibition; and in 2008 began volunteering at BCB Radio receiving radio training in sound recording, radio production and sound editing using Cool Edit software. In 2009 I started working for BCB as a Community Reporter and had further training in broadcast, programme production, sound design (2009); and radio production and broadcast with BBC Radio Leeds (2010). I continued to design and produce work for exhibition, and by the end of 2011 I had started the initial preparation for the SoundArt Show - a radio programme showcasing the history of soundart, and its growth as a movement throughout the 20th century. A limited edition zine of the transcript of the first episode was made to commemorate its first year of broadcast in 2013 & was available to buy at 'Bradford Baked Zines' pop-up shop, and the 'Loosely Bound' zine stall. In 2014 a piece of my sound production work 'Anatomy of A Breast Cancer' was featured on Radio 4's 'Pick of the Week' (19/01/2014). I continue to produce long and shortform audio for radio.
